Our Commitment

It is the policy of Cameron Champ Foundation (the “Foundation”) to respect the privacy of the users of its websites, and we will strive to protect it on our websites cameronchampfoundation.org and mackchampinvitational.com and affiliated giving websites. This privacy policy outlines our procedures with respect to website management and how we protect information gathered via our websites and affiliated giving websites, and about what choices you have concerning our use of such information. This policy, together with our Terms of Use and Conditions, sets out the basis by which data we collect from you will be used, disclosed, processed and handled.

Please read this policy carefully. The Foundation reserves the right to change this website privacy policy without prior notice, however, if we materially change this policy, we will post a notice of those changes on the websites. Please refer back to this policy regularly. Your continued use of the websites will be deemed your agreement that your information may be used in accordance with the new policy.  If you do not agree with the changes, then you should stop using the websites, and you should notify us that you do not want your information used in accordance with the changes.

Information We Collect

We gather information about you online if you voluntarily provide us with your information, such as when you make a contribution, complete an online form, register for an event, or communicate by sending us an email or completing a survey. On certain pages on our websites, such as in connection with making a contribution online, or if you ask by email for more information about our programs or objectives, you may be asked to provide information such as name, address, phone number, fax number, email address, demographics, credit card, and other information. We do not gather this personal information on our websites or our affiliated giving websites without your consent and active participation.

We also gather details of your visits to our websites and the resources that you access, including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, including your IP address, the date and time you accessed or left the website and which pages you viewed.  Some parts of our websites use cookies and other technologies to collect this information about your general internet usage.  See sections below “Use of Cookies/IP Address” and “Statistics” to learn more.

We may gather information about you that is available to the public from other websites or sources such as LinkedIn and Facebook.

By submitting a telephone number to the Foundation, you agree that a representative of the Foundation can contact you at the number you provide, potentially using automated technology (including texts/SMS messaging) or a pre-recorded message.  Your consent is not an obligation to receive any of our products and/or services.

Statistics

As do most standard web servers, ours uses log files which include IP addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks in order to analyze trends, administer the websites, collect broad demographic information for aggregate use. The Foundation utilizes a third party vendor, Google Analytics, to assist in collecting and analyzing such data. Refer to Google’s privacy policy for more information on how Google uses and discloses the information collected.

Statistics from email are collected and analyzed on both an individual and an aggregate basis. We use these statistics to better provide services to the public.

Use of Cookies/IP Address

The Foundation may place “cookies” on a visitor’s computer in order to provide a more efficient and convenient service to you. Cookies do not generally contain personally identifiable information. However, the Foundation reserves the right to associate personally identifiable information with cookies. Such information will not be disclosed to outside parties unless required to do so by legal proceedings or law enforcement investigations. We do not, however, track our users across time or across websites. Our websites do not use flash cookies.

All computers have the ability to decline cookies.  This can be done by activating the setting on your browser which enables you to decline the cookies. Please note that should you choose to decline cookies, you may be unable to access particular parts of our websites.

Donations & Event Registrations

Online donations and event registrations are processed by Square. Credit card and other information you provide when making an online donation is provided directly to Square for the purpose of processing and recording gifts. All credit card information is encrypted at the time of processing and not stored for further use. Square has agreed not to use any information they receive in connection with work for the Foundation in any manner inconsistent with this privacy policy. Square has been charged with protecting this information in accordance with the prevailing industry standards as maintained by the provider and described more fully in their privacy policies, which you can find here.

Links to Other Websites

Our websites may contain links to affiliated vendor websites, such as email services, online donor pages and events registration pages.

The Foundation uses all information gathered online, either in aggregate or on an individual basis, from its websites, email or social media strictly for Foundation related business. By accessing third party websites through our websites, you are consenting to the terms and privacy policies of those websites.  We do not accept any responsibility or liability for their policies whatsoever as we have no control over them.

Use of Your Information

The information that we collect and store relating to you is primarily used to enable us to communicate with you and send to you, with your consent, information you have chosen to receive. We also may use your personal information to administer and inform our programs and initiatives. We may also use and disclose to third parties aggregated information and statistics regarding donations and contributions to the Foundation.

Disclosure of Your Information

We may disclose your information to third-party representatives with whom we contract to update our files and to affiliated organizations in support of our goals and objectives. We may use any information you disclose to us or in online applications to process your donations or to call, mail and market information about the Foundation to you. We may also publicize your name, year of graduation and your category of support in our honor roll of donors, annual report and/or other donor recognition publications, which are publicly available, unless you specifically ask to remain anonymous.

We can obtain your permission to disclose before, during or after our websites collect your user information. Permission may be granted to us in the donations you make to us or in other forms that you complete online or offline.

The Foundation provides information to third party vendors for updating and marketing purposes as described in this policy and to affiliated organizations in support of our goals and objectives. Except in support of Foundation programs, the Foundation does not sell, trade, rent or otherwise provide any of your information to other organizations. Also, although unlikely, the Foundation may be required by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide information to the appropriate governmental authorities. In these cases, we will provide this information as and to the extent we have determined that the disclosure of any such information is appropriate.

We may also disclose your information where we are contractually obligated to or when we sell any or all of our organization and/or assets to a third party, whether through dissolution or other means.

Security

The Foundation operates data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protection systems. Our databases, including the system administrations logs, are password protected. The information you provide is stored in a secured location and is used and disclosed only as set forth in this policy. User information is accessible only to designated staff who need the information to perform a specific function or task related to the Foundation’s mission, such as gift recording, assisting and communicating with donors, or providing donors with reports and receipts.

Our online giving page is a secured website, evidenced by the lock icon located on user browser pages. Our systems make it difficult for your information to be stolen or intercepted while it is being transferred over the Internet and while it is stored on our system. However, no encryption system can guarantee perfect security with the Internet, and therefore we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us electronically on our websites, and transmission of such data is therefore entirely at your own risk.

Information Requests

If you have provided us with any information during a prior visit to or use of the Foundation websites, as applicable and/or as required by law, you may request that we give you access to such information by sending us an email. You may have the right to review the information and make any corrections to it that are appropriate.

Editing/Deleting/Deactivating Personal Information

As applicable and/or as required by law, if your information changes (such as zip code, phone, email or postal address), or to otherwise fulfill your reasonable requests regarding your personal information, please contact us at the address below.

Opting Out of Email

Email recipients may unsubscribe from Foundation-related emails by clicking on the link at the bottom of the message sent, or by contacting us by phone or email.

EU Residents: ADDITIONAL DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS YOU MAY HAVE

Depending on where you reside, applicable laws may give you additional rights to request access to, or request the erasure, correction or transfer of, your personal information. If such laws apply to you (for example, if you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA)), we will collect and use your personal data only if we have one or more legal bases for doing so. You may ask to see your data or request, to the extent allowed by law, to have your data corrected or erased. You may also object to or request restrictions on how your data will be processed.  You may ask that your data be forwarded or transferred to another organization. Finally, to the extent allowed by law, you may withdraw consent you have given to certain data processing, without penalty. If you do decide to withdraw consent at a later date, your withdrawal will not affect the legality of the processing of your data up to that point. Users’ Age

Our websites are designed and intended for those who have reached the age of 16 or older. By using our websites, you affirm that you are at least 16 years of age or older. We are not liable for any damages that may result from a user’s misrepresentation of age.

No one under age 13 is authorized to submit or post any information, including personally identifying information, on our websites. Under no circumstances may anyone under age 13 use our websites.  Parents or legal guardians of children under 13 cannot agree to these terms on their behalf.

Acceptance of Privacy Policy

If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our websites. Your continued use of the Foundation websites following the posting of changes to these terms will mean that you accept these changes. If you do not agree with any changes to these terms, please stop using our websites and notify us that you do not want your information used in accordance with the changes.

Your California Privacy Rights

Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, California residents who provide personal information in obtaining products or services for personal, family, or household use are entitled to request and obtain from us, once each calendar year, information about the customer information we shared, if any, with other businesses for their own direct marketing uses. If applicable, this information would include the categories of customer information and the names and addresses of those businesses with which we shared customer information for the immediately preceding calendar year.

To obtain this information, please send an e-mail message to the address below with “Request for California Privacy Information” in the subject line and in the body of your message. We will provide in response the requested information to you at your e-mail address.

Please be aware that not all information sharing is covered by the “Shine the Light” requirements and only required information will be included in our response.
