Cisco Series Gives Juniors a Tour Experience

The third event in the 2024 Cisco Junior Series presented by the APGA and the Cameron Champ Foundation was played in mid-November at Tustin Ranch Golf Club in Tustin, CA.

Ryan Nana Tanke, a high school freshman from Palm Beach Gardens, FL, shot 74-72 (+2) to beat Roman Solomon, a senior from Sarasota, FL, by a shot. (Leaderboard) It was the final event in the boys’ series, and Solomon’s cumulative effort earned him a spot in the 2025 Farmers Insurance Invitational. He’ll compete against 17 APGA Tour pros at iconic Torrey Pines in January.

On the girls’ side, Koa Seymour, a senior from Valley Village, CA, shot 77-83 to take first place. The final girls’ event will be played Dec. 16-18 at Fleming Island Golf Club in Fleming Island, FL.

The Cisco Junior Series, which features 12 promising junior golfers from around the country, all of whom have played in the Mack Champ Invitational, is designed to nurture the next generation of junior golf talent while giving them a true professional tour experience. The junior tournaments are played alongside APGA Tour events at world class courses.

This year’s series kicked off in August at the APGA Tour Championship at TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, GA, and moved on to the second tournament in the APGA Farmers Insurance Fall Series, which was held at Seaview Golf Club in Galloway, NJ, in early October.

Champ Teams With Els for Autism and SAP to #DriveChange

Cameron Champ teamed up with Ernie Els and SAP in April to raise $55,000 for the Els for Autism Foundation.

SAP donated $2,500 to Els’s foundation for every birdie that Cameron and Els made on Fridays in April, which is Autism Awareness Month. Their combined total of 22 birdies meant a big donation.

This is a very meaningful cause for Cameron, whose sister, Madison, is autistic.

Symetra Tour to Award ‘MVP Invite’ to Mack Champ Competitor

One player from the Mack Champ Invitational will earn a chance to play in the Symetra Tour’s Garden City Charity Classic in Garden City, KS, in April.

As part of the LPGA Tour’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and in celebration of Black History Month, the Symetra Tour is offering “MVP Invites” to three tournaments that showcase minority golfers. The Mack Champ Invitational will be the first and the National Women’s Collegiate Golf Championship will be the second. The third and final event will be announced in the weeks to come.

“We are incredibly excited and grateful for the Symetra Tour’s enthusiasm in supporting our mission with the establishment of the Symetra Tour MVP Invite,” Cameron Champ said. “Having the ability to award a player in our field with an exemption to compete in the Garden City Classic is huge. That will be a fantastic experience for one of these young players and could also lead them to many more opportunities, which is exactly what we’ve set out to accomplish with the Mack Champ Invitational – opening more doors for golfers of diverse backgrounds to have the chance to succeed in this great sport.”

Cameron Teams Up With SAP to Drive Change

Cameron Champ’s power off the tee will help empower black-owned businesses during Black History Month.

As part of SAP’s “Spotlight Black Businesses” campaign, Cameron will play in support of a different black-owned business every week in February. The campaign will begin at the Waste Management Phoenix Open and will continue at the Genesis Invitational and WGC Championship.

Every week that Cameron is able to beat his average driving distance of 320 yards, the Cameron Champ Foundation and SAP will donate $10,000 to that week’s featured business. The businesses will also be featured on Cameron’s bag and ball.

“I’m humbled to be supporting these hard-working entrepreneurs and their commitment to community and their customers,” Cameron said.
