Dryvebox Partners With Cameron Champ Foundation

Aiden Dinani, a Mack Champ Invitational competitor, tried out Dryvebox at the Cameron Champ Foundation Junior Golf Clinic at Chester Washington Golf Course in LA in February.

The Cameron Champ Foundation is partnering with Dryvebox, the mobile golf simulator company, to make golf more accessible than ever.

We share a vision of bringing the game to underserved communities. Through this partnership, the Cameron Champ Foundation will have its own Dryvebox mobile simulator units that will be used to present the game in fresh and exciting ways to kids who have never held a club before. The top-of-the-line technology in each unit will also serve advanced players looking to improve their games.

Each Dryvebox unit, dubbed a “driving range on wheels,” is equipped with a golf simulator, internal and external TVs, lights, and music. With Dryvebox, the foundation can bring a fun and approachable golf experience to kids, no matter where they are.

“We started the foundation because access to the opportunities golf provides are difficult to come by for black and brown kids,” said Jeff Champ, Co-Founder and CEO of the Cameron Champ Foundation. “Working with Dryvebox gives us the opportunity to break down the barriers we see all the time. We can take a box straight to a school or a park and give kids an authentic experience where they feel comfortable. We can use it to make exciting connections to STEM-related concepts, and our competitive players can use it as a serious game-improvement tool. The sky’s the limit with this partnership.”

Dryvebox’s goal of growing the game of golf through mobile lessons, practice and events will be expanded with this new partnership. Dryvebox participated in the Cameron Champ Foundation Junior Golf Clinic at Chester Washington Golf Course in Los Angeles on Feb. 15. Kids, coaches, and celebrities alike got the chance to hit shots in the mobile simulator at the event, the first of many to come.

“We feel incredibly aligned with the goals, commitments, and aspirations of the Cameron Champ Foundation and are blessed to be working with such a great team that’s making a real difference in the community,” said Adeel Yang, Co-Founder and CEO of Dryvebox. “The Cameron Champ Foundation has made great strides in bringing golf to underserved and underrepresented communities. Once equipped with Dryvebox’s mobile simulators, they will be primed to spread the game of golf in a whole different way. Our mission at Dryvebox is to grow the game by making golf more accessible and engaging. Through our partnership with the Cameron Champ Foundation, we’ve found a group of like-minded people who are driven to make a real difference in the world of golf. We can’t wait to get started.”

About Dryvebox
Dryvebox was founded in 2020 by Adeel Yang, Jake Hutt, Mike Leong and Matt Gipple. The first of its kind mobile golf simulator was developed to grow the game of golf in a meaningful way for new and experienced golfers. Based in San Francisco, the company will soon expand into three new markets following the close of their seed investment round. Learn more at dryvebox.com.

Tony Finau and Sean Foley, Cameron’s coach and one of the biggest names in golf instruction, were also on hand.

We are committed to growing and diversifying golf, and we believe that events like this, held at courses like this, can be a defining moment in a young person’s lifelong journey with the game.

Thanks to Nike, Chevron, Beats by Dre and Malbon Golf for partnering with us to make the event possible, to Senator Steven Bradford for our official recognition from the California State Senate, and to Dryvebox for bringing their mobile golf simulator to the course! Thanks also to Roger Steele, Jake Hutt and Manolo Vega for coming out.

Champ Teams With Els for Autism and SAP to #DriveChange

Cameron Champ teamed up with Ernie Els and SAP in April to raise $55,000 for the Els for Autism Foundation.

SAP donated $2,500 to Els’s foundation for every birdie that Cameron and Els made on Fridays in April, which is Autism Awareness Month. Their combined total of 22 birdies meant a big donation.

This is a very meaningful cause for Cameron, whose sister, Madison, is autistic.
