TJ Edwards, Chief Production Officer of Walker & Dunlop’s Multifamily Finance group, is responsible for managing the company’s Multifamily Finance production platform. In addition to his role as Chief Production Officer, Mr. Edwards is a member of Walker & Dunlop’s Revenue Committee, where he helps to drive origination efficiency with debt financing and investment sales teams across the company.
He also plays an integral role in Walker & Dunlop’s Council for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I), which promotes DE&I efforts both within the company and across the commercial real estate industry. In 2021, he helped to spearhead one of the first industry-wide diversity initiatives in commercial real estate, CREUnited. Mr. Edwards serves as Co-Head of the initiative started by Walker & Dunlop, helping to provide access to capital to women and diverse sponsors.
Mr. Edwards has over 13 years of commercial real estate finance experience, including debt and equity investments, client relationship management, business operations, and marketing strategy. Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, he was a Regional Director of Production and Sales at Freddie Mac where he led a team that processed $6.8 billion of multifamily loan purchases in 2019. During his time with Freddie Mac, he spearheaded the creation of the Multifamily Division’s diversity, equity, and inclusion executive taskforce focused on promoting racial and social equality.
Mr. Edwards received a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Delaware.
